Assist Prof. Dr. Ahmed J. Abid received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electronic Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq in 2002 and 2004 respectively. He works as an academic visitor at Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK in 2013, then he received his Ph.D. degree in “Electronic and Communication Engineering” from University of Basrah, Basrah, Iraq in 2014. He has been working as an instructor in the Dept. of Electronic Engineering, Technical Instructor Training Institute (TITI), Middle Technical University, Baghdad, Iraq since 2006. He has been Head of the Technical Electronic Department at TITI (2014-2018), then assistant dean for scientific affairs and students. Dr. Abid has published many scientific and technical papers in international and national journals and conferences. His research interests include solar photovoltaic farm, renewable energy, energy management, power line communication, embedded system design, internet of things, and fault detection in vast PV solar farms.
